Sanjay was granted bail for a month as his wife Manyata underwent a lung surgery and during that treatment, the fluid of her lungs was removed. Dutt was given leave from jail, as he was willing to take care of his wife in her hard time. His leave tenure was to get over on January 21, 2014 but again Sanjay received a month’s extension. This is Dutt’s second parole of 2 months and if his request gets accepted, it would be of 3 months then. Before this, he was out from jail in October as he was not well.
The actor has faced protests as the jail officials are said to be extremely lenient with the industry star. Dutt is accused for five years for illegal possession of arms in 1993 serial blasts case, which took over 250 lives. He has already served 18 months punishment and he is currently completing his remaining 3 years 6 months term.
