Sayani Gupta Finds Potential Mentor In Kalki Koechlin

Actress Sayani Gupta debuted in Indian cinema with an unexpectedly exceptional film Margarita, with a Straw alongside the extremely talented Bollywood beauty Kalki Koechlin. If sources are to be trusted, the Parched heroine often looks for Dev.D actress’ suggestions when it comes to personal and professional decisions.

According to reports, Sayani was at sixes and sevens while choosing between Maneesh Sharma directorial Fan and Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos. The actress took no time to call her co-star and friend Kalki for seeking advice. The Shanghai actress then suggested her to give a nod to both the projects without worrying too much.
 

Expressing her fondness for Kalki, Sayani stated, “She has been a massive support system. We are very alike in our thinking and have a similar kind of background, theatre; hence our approach towards work is also similar. Although she is ten times more hard working than I am. One thing that I want to learn from her is time management. She manages to do so much film work, theatre, writing, directing, events, photo shoots all at the same time so beautifully”.

 Applauded for her powerful performance in the Shonali Bose directorial, the newcomer has reportedly been roped in for Nitya Mehra’s Baar Baar Dekho.
