Shahid Kapoor to amuse with singer’s role in Udta Punjab

Actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Shradhha Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor not only have ‘Kapoor’ common in their names but also the role of a singer played by them in their respective films. Well another Kapoor, precisely Shahid Kapoor, is now set to woo us with his singer’s role in his upcoming film, Udta Punjab. The actor, who is known for experimenting with his looks, will be seen sporting an interesting and fresh appearance with a high-bun and coloured streaks.

Though, the chocolate boy has been posting many pictures of himself on social media platforms lately, but he has not revealed anything about his role yet. On April 11, the actor shared the glimpse of his new rock look on Instagram and posted, “Adding some colour to the dark and edgy #udtapunjab. Can't wait to start this one”. His looks however suggest him to be inspired by many musicians from the west with long hair.

Apart from Haider, the Abhishek Chaubey directorial features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in lead roles. The flick deals with the issue of substance abuse in Punjab. The cast and crew of the film are currently shooting in Amritsar, Punjab. Now it is to be seen, how far the Jab We Met jodi can set the screen on fire once again.
