Shahrukh Khan’s Raees officially goes on floors

The shooting of Shahrukh Khan-Nawazuddin Siddique starrer Raees has formally commenced. Held much in the waiting, this Rahul Dholakia directotial had to find a slot between SRK’s Fan and Dilwale to accommodate a schedule that may suit all. Producer Farhan Akhtar announced the news on twitter to bring much delight to SRK’s fans.

‘Raees’ will apparently be produced by Farhan’s Excel Entertainment and Shahrukh’s own Red Chillies Entertainment. Based in the 80’s of India, Shahrukh is playing a Gujarati don in the movie. While he is very much excited to be doing this film, it will be the first time he will share screen with Nawazuddin Siddique, who reportedly plays a cop.

Farhan, who shared a picture of film’s set on twitter, was earlier himself supposed to play Nawaz’s role, but later opted out to give space to Rock On 2. While no official release date has been confirmed for this high profile movie, it will only release in 2016 most certainly. Pakistani actress Mihirah Khan will play the leading lady.
