Shraddha Kapoor is blessed to be a part of Rock On sequel

When the never ending hunt for the leading lady of Rock On’s sequel came to a closure, it was Shraddha Kapoor who found herself to be the lucky one. The Aashiqui 2 actress who is playing a crucial role in the film feels lucky to have got that opportunity.

“I’m very excited about ‘Rock On 2′, and more than that, I’m very excited to be singing my own song in the film. I’m playing a musician in the film. But there’s still a lot of time for that film. When ‘Rock On!!’ had released, I had made sure I wanted to be part of the sequel. I feel lucky and blessed to be part of the sequel,” she said. Earlier Alia and a few others were being considered for the role but nothing could substantiate.

Shraddha, who’s already proven her mettle as a vocalist through Ek Villain’s song will now have another opportunity to explore her singing side. Rock On 2 will primarily retain the cast with Farhan leading the show, while Abhishek Kapoor will not be returning as the director. 

After burning the dance floor with her moves in ABCD 2, Shraddha will now perhaps set the stage grooving with her voice.
