Shruti Haasan's return gift to fans on birthday tomorrow

With six projects lined up, apart from her playback singing outings, looks like Bollywood actor Shruti Haasan has found more reasons to ­celebrate her birthday tomorrow. The Chennai girl has decided to turn the day a little special with a fun interaction with her fans online, and has even planned to surprise them with return gifts that will have her personal touch.

A source close to the actor says, “Shruti has always believed in doing things that matter and help make a difference to not just herself, but to the lives of others, too. So, on her ­birthday, she wants to share this very motto with her fans. Via social media, she will ask them (her fans) to send her information and pictures of a good deed they did for someone else recently. From those entries, she will pick the best five and send them personalised ­autographed merchandise with a special message.”

When contacted, Shruti confirmed the plan, saying, “Yes, indeed I’m looking ­forward to this. I strongly believe that the greatest gift is the gift of giving — being there for someone who needs you. Hence this year for my birthday, I’m asking my fans to gift me a good birthday by being kind to someone who really needs it. The fans and audience are the reason why you are who you are, so why not celebrate them and their deeds on my birthday.”
