SON SHINES: Jackky rescues dad by replacing Irrfan in ‘Welcome to Karachi’

What came as helpless stroke of shock for producer Vashu Bhagnani has now been settled with his own son coming to his rescue. Yes, Irrfan Khan who left Vashu’s film Welcome to Karachi right at the final moment, apparently left producers and makers in a fix to wonder who would come in to replace him since a schedule in London is already set.

Miffed at what Irrfan did to him Vashu couldn’t really think what to do until Jackky came up to help him and offered to play Irrfan Khan’s role. Welcome to Karachi had a schedule already planned in London and the producers would have incurred losses had there been a delay in the production. Jackky who was last seen in this year’s Youngistaan had time to start over before his next project and therefore approached his father. The film is about two guys stranded in Karachi without any documents. While Arshad Warsi will be playing the role of one of those guys, the other would now be performed by Jackky. The film will be made under the direction of Ashish R. Mohan. Welcome to Karachi will apparently reunite Arshad and Jackky who last worked together for Remo D’Souza’s FAALTU.
