Subhash Ghai's Kaanchi begins shooting

Film director and producer,Subhash Ghai, is back in direction with his forthcoming filmKaanchi. The film is about an innocent mountain girl who later on enters the world of crime and corruption. Ghai’s last directed film wasYuvvraj,five years back in 2008.

On the occasion of Ghai directing a shot after so long, some close friends of the68-year-oldman were there to congratulate him. Anil Kapoor was one of them, who has worked under the guidance of this director in lot many projects. Subhash got emotional with the arrival of his friend and said that he is a live wire filled with advice. A member from the film unit said, “It was a very emotional moment for Subhashji. He has been through a lot lately. His dream project the acting institute Whistling Woods has been put under a legal dispute.”

Anil advised the lead actor, Kartik Tiwari, ‘Never ask Subhash Ghai for a script. Just surrender and flow with his vision. Just be his actor. You have all the chances to give an award-winning performance. I got many awards by following Subhash Ghai.’ The film casts a new girl named Mishti oppositeAkaash Vanistar.
