Subhash Kapoor plans out Jolly LLB sequel, finalising script

Director Subhash Kapoor who marked a great piece of success with last year’s satirical law comedy Jolly LLB is reportedly in plans to shape a sequel. The director has confirmed the news and is in early stages to pen down the script. The Arshad Warsi and Boman Irani starrer movie was released in March last year.

Subhash is right now working on his current film Guddu Rangeela which features Arshad Warsi, Amit Sadh and Aditi Rao Hydari in the lead. The comedy film is in its final stages and will be ready soon. A source close to the recent shape up revealed, "For a while now Subhash has been looking for a script for Part Two. The idea came to him while shooting a crucial scene for the Amit Sadh-Arshad Warsi-Aditi Rao Hydari starrer Guddu Rangeela. It will once again be a biting social satire." Subhash who confirmed the news himself told that it won’t be too long before he starts working on the project. "Yes, Jolly LLB 2 is on. It will take us another two- three months to finalise my script as I've been caught up in the post-production of Guddu Rangeela," he said.

On being asked if the principle cast of the film will be retained the director said, "Yes, that's the idea as of now. It makes sense to repeat the cast from the original. The sequel will also deal with a contemporary issue humorously, but right now even I don't know what the film will look like as I'm yet to develop the screenplay. The modalities are being worked out." Let’s look forward to the sequel and hope it’s as Jolly as the first one was.
