Vidya Balan confesses her greed for new experimental roles

Vidya Balan is a greedy actor and the statement has come from the actress herself as she said, "My idea of an actor is to be different persons with different roles. Every time a script interests me I look for interesting characters because I intend to completely transport myself into it. This happens only because I am a very greedy actor.”

With every new script her greed for new characters and experimentation with new roles increases and it happens only because of her never-ending greed which has completely engrossed her mind. She said about her stepping into one character, “I don't mind travelling that extra bit to enter into the life of the person I play. I transport myself to an extent that I allow my body, my clothes and even my mind to change to become the character.” She also talked about her somewhat weird looks in upcoming Ghanchakkar, “Suparna Roy Chaudhury, my costume designer, who is with me since my Parineeta days, was aghast and confused when she heard about the look of my character in Ghanchakkar . 'How can I make you wear something like that?' she asked. But, I was relaxed looking at the confidence of Rajkumar.”

Now we are assured that her evergreen desire to do something new is what pushed her to become one of the jury members in the prestigious Cannes Film festival. She also had something to say about balancing her personal and professional life at the same time. It is a known fact that she and her husband, UTV Motion Pictures CEO Siddharth Roy Kapur, have not chalked out an actual plan yet to launch a production house together. Vidya said, " Not that we are averse to working at it but we have decided to keep our personal space away from films for now. We prefer not to talk business at home. Ghanchakkar is a UTV film but Siddharth and I do not discuss the film, shooting or promotions because we simply want films to be out of our personal space.” Vidya will be seen in an entire new avatar as a loud Punjabi housewife Neetu in Ghanchakkar.
