Vidya Balan To Play Female Lead In Rajinikanth’s Next?

Releasing later this year, '2.0' will be Rajinikanth's will be the follow-up to his 2010 film ‘Enthiran’. While the movie is currently under development, there are a lot of talks going on about his next project. The latest is that Kahaani actress Vidya Balan will be playing the female lead.

Previous reports suggested that Amala Paul was a candidate for the role but this news was negated by the makers. After that, new reports sprung up stating that either Nayanthara or Trisha would be the female lead. While there has been no official announcement regarding the same, Vidya Balan’s presence is only speculation. But, it would surely be amazing to see the two actors together.

Vidya was last seen in ‘Kahaani 2’ which released in December last year. The movie, sadly, performed averagely at the box office and could not live up to the hype. On the other hand, Rajinikanth was last seen in ‘Kabali’ which was directed by Pa Ranjith, who will also be directing Thalaivar’s 161st film.
