Vidyut Jamwal may take over as the new ‘Khiladi’

Popular for his splendid athleticism and stunting, actor Vidyut Jamwal may soon fit in Akshay Kumar’s shoes to play the title role in Khiladi sequel. Yes, the sequel to the 1992 hit is on the cards and may soon take up some shape.

Vidyut who debuted with an impressive persona fighting hard with John Abraham in Force has mostly been under the light for his ability to perform dangerous action stunts on his own, an image that Akshay was once enamoured with in the early days. While the makers are in talks with the actor to play lead, the certainty of the project is still under doubts. A source close to the development revealed, “Viduyut is being considered for this role. He is trained in martial arts and is also known for his action in Bollywood. However, nothing has been finalized on papers yet but if things go well then Viduyut will step into Akshay’s shoes in the sequel of Khiladi.”

The original Khiladi was directed by Abbas Mustan and starred Akshay Kumar, Deepak Tijori, Ayesha Julka in the lead. The thriller film played a key role to tag Akshay Kumar as the ‘Khiladi’ of film industry.
