'Blade Runner 2049' Applauded By Critics
Director Denis Villeneuve’s film 'Blade Runner 2049', a sequel to 1982 film ‘Blade Runner’, which has released worldwide has been lauded by critics. The flick has been described as "One of the most mind-blowing sci-fi storytelling sequels", that is "Visually staggering", "Stunningly beautiful" and is a "Spectacular, provocative, profound and spiritually staggering blockbuster of our time". The movie starred Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford in the lead roles.
Apart from Gosling and Ford, the film also featured Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, Dave Bautista and Jared Leto. Denis has made an attempt to show how the world would be after 30 years in 2049. Villeneuve is a self-confessed devotee of ‘Blade Runner’ which was directed by Ridley Scott.
"While working with Denis, it was very clear from the beginning that he had a thousand-yard stare. He was looking at something on the horizon, which we couldn't quite see, but he saw it,” said Ryan. Sony Pictures Entertainment India will release 'Blade Runner 2049' on October 6 in India.
