    The 22 Jump Street fame actorChanning Tatum will fit into the shoes of Taylor Kitsch for a lead role in X-Men spinoff. The news was confirmed by the producer Lauren Shuler Donner of the project, who commented that Tatum would essay the character of Gambit in the film. Donner commented about Tatum, "Well you know, he's a rogue -- Channing -- he's a rascal, just like Remy LeBeau, and he can handle the action, we all know that! And he's got a really good heart."

    She further stated, "He'll be great for Gambit and he's a Southerner, too!
