    Chin Han roped in for Independence Day 2

    Chin Han is the latest addition to the cast of Independence Day sequel. The news was announced by Roland Emmerich on his Twitter page. The 45-year-old actor will be seen essaying the role of the leader of Chinese Space Squadron, reported by Variety Magazine.

    The filmmakers have made several new additions to the cast for the sequel, which includes Liam Hemsworth, Jessie Usher, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Travis Tope and Joey King. While, actors Bill Pullman and Judd Hirsch will return to reprise their roles along with Jeff Goldblum, Vivica A. Fox, and Brent Spiner. But, Will Smith will not be seen in the film.

    Independence Day 2 is slated for release on June 24, 2016. The movie will be produced by Dean Devlin, Roland Emmerich and Harald Kloser. The flick will be helmed by Roland Emmerich, while the script for the film has been written by James A. Woods and Nicolas Wright. The original film, which was released in 1996, earned over $800 million worldwide.
