Danny Elfman's Views On Scoring Music For Justice League

Danny Elfman's Views On Scoring Music For Justice League

American music composer Danny Elfman has scored the music for the upcoming film Justice League. Danny Elfman’s Justice League soundtrack will bring back the Superman theme back to screens. Recently in an interview, when asked about revisiting the DC Universe, Elfman said that he had established a fan moment for the Wonder Woman theme that Hans Zimmer did for Batman Vs. Superman.

He further said that he had a melody to twist using it in a dark way, which will be noticed by his fans. He said, “There are so many themes, you can’t just do a big theme for everything. So I created a motif for Flash, for Aquaman and Cyborg — but they’re very simple things, and [DC] understood”. Speaking about his experience working with Joss Whedon, he said, “It was the same as when I worked with him on Ultron. He appreciates melodies and pieces”.

Further, the composer added, “He’s like, “Oh, you’ve given it identity here!” The film Justice League stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Ezra Miller as The Flash, Ray Fisher as Cyborg, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred Pennyworth, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Connie Nielsen as Queen Hippolyta, Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Amber Heard as Mera, Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, with J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Gordon, and Amy Adams as Lois Lane. Justice League has been produced by Charles Roven, Deborah Snyder, Jon Berg and Geoff Johns.
