Dawn of Justice Still Destroying Competition At Box Office

Despite of all the negative talk about the film and the criticism from fans, 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' seems to be unscathed when it comes to box office earnings. The Zack Snyder directorial grossed $51 million over its second weekend which sends its total earnings to $682 million worldwide. The movie stars Henry Cavill as Superman and Ben Affleck as Batman.

The animated flick 'Zootopia' is also holding its own and maintains its second position on the top five list. The movie pooled in $19 million, running on its fifth weekend. Zootopia has now grossed $786 million across the globe. Kirk Jones’ 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2', running on its second weekend, earned $11 million. The movie stars Rita Wilson, Nia Vardalos, John Corbett and Elena Kampouris and has grossed $54 million worldwide.

The recently released film 'God's Not Dead 2' saw an opening weekend of $7.6 million. The movie has been directed by Harold Cronk. Running on its third weekend, Patricia Riggen’s 'Miracles from Heaven' added $7.2 million sending its total to $49 million worldwide.
