Die Hard 6 Will Follow Younger John McClane

Deadline has reported that 20th Century Fox is developing an origin story of the beloved character John McClane from the Die Hard franchise. The movie will act as a sequel as well as prequel to the series. Bruce Willis might reprise his role as the lead.

Die Hard 6 will tell the story of the NYPD police officer John in his early years. This era was also described in the 2009 and 2010 issue Die Hard: Year One. The previous rumours told a different story about what the film might showcase. Samuel L. Jackson was being eyed by 20th Century Fox for a return to the franchise after the 1995 film Die Hard with a Vengeance.

The last instalment in the franchise was A Good Day to Die Hard and it grossed $304 million worldwide. According to Deadline, Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Len Wiseman are working together on the project. It is speculated that Len will direct the sixth instalment.
