Doug Liman to helm Railhead adaptation?

Children's bookRailhead by Philip Reeve will be transformed into a movie and Warner Bros. Entertainment is in talks with Doug Liman to board him as a helmer. The movie about futuristic world would have trains run through space via portals. The story comes to a twist when a thief steals an object that changes the course of the galaxy.

Denise Di Novi and Alison Greenspan are attached to the project as producers. Chantal Nong is overseeing the project. Doug has previously directed Mr. & Mrs. Smith and his forthcoming projects include Edge of Tomorrow and Splinter Cell. The film is yet to decide on its actors and is in pre-production stage.
