Eva Green As Astronaut In Her Next

Former Bond Girl, Eva Green will soon be seen as an astronaut in her upcoming film, which will be directed by 'Disorder' director Alice Winocour. The film, tentatively titled as 'Proxima' is going to be an action-drama where Green will play an astronaut with the European Space Agency(ESA), who is preparing to go on a one-year mission to the International Space Station.

Winocour has been searching for an actress who would fit into the role of an astronaut, a superheroine and at the same time a mother. “I think Eva has this thing that she is here. I think it's time for her to play in her native language and to act something less gothic, maybe more human”, mentioned Winocour while informing that the movie would be made bilingual.

Green will be trained by French astronaut Thomas Pesquet, who completed a six month ISS tour in June alongside American astronaut Peggy Whitson. Pesquet's return has created a media frenzy in France and boosted public interest in the ESA. Further, Winocour shared that James Cameron's 'The Abyss' inspired this film.
