I Can Relate To Spider-Man On So Many Levels: Tom Holland On Playing Spider-Man

Young actor Tom Holland played the web slinger in ‘ Spider-Man : Homecoming’ and was lauded for his performance. While this was the second time he put on the suit, it was his first solo performance and the fans loved him. Recently, the actor sat down with Deccan Chronicle, spoke about playing the character and shared that he can relate to Peter Parker on so many levels.

When asked about what was the most difficult part in playing the super hero, Tom said, “I think the most difficult thing is to make Spider-Man current. To make him more modern. I am lucky that I had a good team behind me from Marvel ”. The actor feels that he can relate to Peter Parker a.k.a Spider-Man on many different levels. Comparing his school days to Peter Parker’s, he said that Peter was not one of the cool kids, but after getting the super power, he becomes the coolest guy in the world. In the same way, Tom is now travelling the world and meeting so many people, all of which happened after he got to play the super hero.

Tom was also asked who is favorite Avenger was, to which he said, “My favourite Avenger is Ant-Man! I think he’s really funny and his character is wonderful.  And Paul Rudd, who plays him, is a nice guy and a cool actor”.

Tom first appeared as Spider-Man in ‘ Captain America : Civil War ’ which came out last year.
