Idris Elba suffers from asthma attack, rushed to hospital

Pacific Rim actor Idris Elba reportedly suffered from an asthma attack when he was travelling on an airplane heading towards South Africa and he was immediately rushed to a hospital. The 41-year-old actor took the flight to Johannesburg to attend a press conference for his new movie Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom.

He was immediately taken to the hospital from Heathrow airport and is recovering now slowly. Producer Anant Singh is quite hopeful that the actor comes out fit enough to attend the red carpet. Singh told reporters at a news conference, "Idris is in hospital after an asthma attack on the plane last night.” Elba will be seen in the lead role in Mandela: Long Walk of Freedom and actress Naomie Harris will be seen as Winnie Mandela in the supporting role.
