Jamie Foxx Is Robin Hood’s Fellow Outlaw

Django Unchained actor Jamie Foxx will be playing the role of Little John in the upcoming film Robin Hood: Origins. Deadline has stated that Little John will not start out as an accomplice of Robin Hood but will warm up to him. Taron Egerton will play Robin Hood in the film.

As the title suggests, the movie will tell the origin story of the classic character. Witnessing Sherwood Forest overtaken by evil, Robin decides to take a stand against the corruption with the help of a band of merry men. Joby Harold will be writing the script for the film.

Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson and Harold and Tory Tunnell will be producing the film. The role of Maid Marion will be played by Bridge of Spies actress Eve Hewson. Jamie Foxx will next be seen in Sleepless Night, which is a cop thriller. The actor won the BET Award for Best Actor in 2013 for the film Django Unchained.
