    Jennifer Lawrence Starring in Big Screen Adaptation of ‘The Rosie Project’

    Oscar winning actor Jennifer Lawrence will be playing the lead in cinematic adaptation of The Rosie Project. It was one of the bestselling Australian books by Graeme Simsion. Sony Pictures has acquired the rights for the film from Graeme.

    The story focuses on a Don Tillman, a genetics professor, who creates a questionnaire to find the perfect match. He then meets a bartender named Rosie (Jennifer Lawrence), who according to his own questionnaire, is very different. Charlotte Moore reviewed the book for the Guardian and said, “The hero of The Rosie Project is one of those rare fictional characters destined to take up residence in the popular consciousness”.

    Jennifer Lawrence is known for her roles in the Hunger Games franchise, Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle, among others. The movie is being developed by Columbia Pictures. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber will be writing the screenplay. It will be released in 2016.
