    Matt Damon Gearing Up for Bourne 5

    Academy Award-winning actor Matt Damon is all set to return as Jason Bourne in the fifth instalment of the Bourne franchise. The currently untitled movie will also see the return of director Paul Greengrass, who directed The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum. Matt spoke to BuzzFeed about the upcoming action-thriller spy film.

    He said, “Without giving too much of it away, it’s Bourne through an austerity-riddled Europe and in a post-Snowden world. It seems like enough has changed, you know? There are all these kinds of arguments about spying and civil liberties and the nature of democracy”. When asked about where the story will take place, Matt said, “We’re starting in Greece, you know, the beginning of democracy,” he said. “And the movie ends in Las Vegas, the most grotesque incarnation of….”

    Bourne 5 will be released on July 29 next year and the production will be commencing shortly. The producers will include Frank Marshall and Jeffrey Weiner. Greengrass, Matt Damon and Greg Goodman will also be joining the production team. Matt is also co-writing the film with Paul and Christopher Rouse.
