Four-hour-long workouts have never been easy for anyone and the same is applicable for actor Matt Damon who had to undergo the same routine everyday to get into proper shape for his upcoming action flick Elysium.

In the film the 42-year-old Bourne Identity star will be seen as an ex-convict, who is infected by a cancer virus like many others. For the particular role Damon was required to have a muscled look in the Neill Blomkamp-produced film. A special trainer was hired by the producer for Damon before the movie’s shooting began.

As told by Damon, "Blomkamp was so specific about what he wanted me to look like. He actually had a picture with my face tacked onto this guy with this body, and they literally hired me a trainer and I went to him with the picture. It was four hours a day in the gym - and I`m not 26 anymore, but I got in shape.” This will be a major change from his The Informant look for which he had to gain 30 pounds more.
