American TV actor Nazanin Boniadi, who’s of Iranian origin, has slowly but steadily made her way up in the American television industry. She finally tasted success with the role of Fara Sherazi, a CIA analyst in the popular show, Homeland.

Even though her character did not have a prominent role until the fourth season, Boniadi is pretty excited about her character’s development. “She’s gone through a bit of an evolution. I think she proved herself in the last season. In this season, she’s been entrusted with things by Carrie (played by actor Claire Danes). And she’s continuing to prove herself,” says Boniadi.

Apart from Homeland, the 34-year-old actor, who can also be seen in another political thriller series, Scandal, loves to play different characters.

“They have a different pace. I would say Homeland lands on actors more, so you get more time to simmer in your thoughts, and you really see those thoughts happening. Scandal is so fast … It’s very back and forth, and the dialogue comes out to be a lot faster,” she said.
