It seems like the fans of Hugh Jackman will have to wait a little bit more to see him shine on big screen. The release date of his upcoming movie ‘Pan’ has been shifted to October 9. Earlier, this Joe Wright directorial was scheduled to be released on July 24.

Actors like Garrett Hedlund and Rooney Mara will also star in the film. Potential megahits like ‘Ant-Man’ and ‘Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation’ are going to be released in the month of July, which is probably why ‘Pan’ has been re-scheduled to hit the theatres in October. "We wanted to give Pan the space to extend its theatrical run, so taking it out of the cluttered summer season made the most sense”, said WB domestic distribution head Dan Fellman.

Fellman also added that one of the reasons for shifting the release date of the film was to take some time out to plan properly. "Moving the film to the heart of the fall will allow us more time to screen the picture, enabling us to capitalize on what we anticipate will be strong word of mouth", he said. This fantasy film is an origin story of ‘Peter Pan’ and ‘Captain Hook’.
