    Robert De Niro Honoured With Lifetime Achievement Award At Sarajevo Film Festival

    The 22nd edition of Europe's Sarajevo Film Festival which started on 12th August opened with Robert De Niro, where he was honoured with a lifetime achievement award. The Hollywood Reporter stated that he was given ‘The Heart of Sarajevo’ at the festival’s opening night. A restored version of his 1976 film ‘Taxi Driver’ was also screened at the festival.

    The actor was extremely happy with the award and said, “I will treasure this award. I don't think there is another city in the world that has shown such heart in the face of so much tragedy”. Robert spoke about the origin of the festival as well and shared, “It was born during a dark and dangerous time to counter the butchering of war with a celebration of art and humanity”.

    The celebrated actor is known for his work in films like ‘Raging Bull’, ‘Goodfellas’, ‘The Godfather Part II’ and many more. Robert was last seen in the film ‘Dirty Grandpa’ where he shared screen space with Zac Efron. He will next be seen in Jonathan Jakubowicz’s ‘Hands of Stone’.
