Roberto Orci in negotiations to helm Star Trek 3

Writer Roberto Orci may join director’s league, if he is finalised to helm Star Trek 3. The production companies Paramount Pictures and Skydance Productions are planning to place Orci on the director’s position and they are in talks with the writer for the same. The first two prequels were directed by J.J. Abrams.

Roberto is penning the script of the same, along with John D. Payne, Patrick McKay and Gene Roddenberry. Abrams is linked to this project as well but with the production team. He will be accompanied by executive producer David Ellison. Orci has been linked to Star Trek franchise, as he was the co-writer of the first two series. His credits include Venom, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and many more. Further announcements on the same will soon be announced.
