Ryan Phillippe To File A Counter-Suit Against Ex-Girlfriend For Her Claims Of Domestic Violence

Hollywood actor, writer and director Ryan Phillippe is going through tough times these days as his former girlfriend model Elsie Hewitt has filed a lawsuit against him of brutally attacking her and throwing her off stairs. She filed a civil suit against him that he got violent after the couple had a fight few days ago. But, the actor has finally responded to his ex-girlfriend’s claims calling them all false.

He has stated that he is “saddened" and "disgusted" by the claims. The actor took to his Twitter and posted, "I am saddened and disgusted by the false allegations being circulated about me. At the time these allegations were initially made, I fully cooperated with law enforcement and a thorough investigation was conducted."

He further stated that he has been raised by women in a house where women's rights, feminism, and advocacy were considered as the top priority. He is very disheartened that his name has cropped up in a domestic violence case.  He also said that in 25 years of his career he has seen many incorrect things written and said about him, which usually happens if someone chooses a profession like acting. But things like domestic violence have never been. "Domestic violence is a very real and tragic issue faced by many women [in] the world over and should never be used to vengefully slander or as a play for monetary gain. This is wrong. This is not who I am. Every one of my accuser's allegations are false," he concluded.

Elsie also revealed some shocking images of injuries on her body which she claimed that Ryan had inflicted on her. She had also demanded $1million for damages from him.

Ryan has accused Elsie of using the domestic abuse claims "as a ploy for monetary gain". He has hired an attorney to file a counter-suit for defamation.
