    Sarah Paulson, Bob Odenkirk And Several Others Join Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Papers’ Star Cast

    It’s a known fact that Steven Spielberg’s upcoming film ‘The Papers’ will star Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep. According to recent reports doing the rounds, the flick will also feature Alison Brie, David Cross, Bruce Greenwood, Carrie Coon, Pat Healy, Bob Odenkirk, Tracy Letts, Sarah Paulson, Matthew Rhys, Michael Stuhlbarg, Jesse Plemons, Bradley Whitford and Zach Woods. The film is about the Washington Post’s decision to publish the classified Pentagon Papers in 1971, and how the Post’s editor Ben Bradlee and publisher Kay Graham joined the New York Times in challenging the federal government over their right to publish them.

    The movie, formerly known as ‘The Post’, will be jointly produced under the banners of Amblin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox. The script of the film has been penned by Liz Hannah and Josh Singer. The flick will bow on December 22 in selected theatres and release widely on January 12, next year.

    Spielberg has earlier collaborated with his friend Hanks for ‘Saving Private Ryan’, ‘Catch Me If You Can’, ‘The Terminal’ and ‘Bridge of Spies’. The director is producing the film along with Amy Pascal and Kristie Macosko. Rachel O’Connor will serve as executive producer for the film with Star Thrower Entertainment’s Tim and Trevor White, and Adam Somner.
