Shia LaBeouf steps aside from Orphans on creative differences

Shia LaBeouf, who was lined up forOrphansopposite Alec Baldwin is now plugged out of the play. According to a statement, the producer noticed some creative differences and has decided to replace Shia, just a month before its opening.

The play tells the story of two brothers, who are orphaned and live in a shabby house in Philadelphia and one day they decide to kidnap a wealthy man. LaBeouf was to portray one of the orphan brothers and Alec plays the role of the wealthy man. The play was first performed in 1983 and has been a platform for everyone from Albert Finney to Joe Pantoliano who starred inRisky Business.

LaBeouf has showed his talent in some of the films likeIndiana JonesandThe Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Wall Street: Money Never Sleepsand also in a crime drama entitledLawless.
