Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro's Grudge Match to release this Christmas

Expectations need to be given a rise this time for those people who were waiting for Sylvester Stallone and Robert De Niro's Grudge Match to open in January next year. It’s really great to know that Warner Bros. has preponed the release of the film to the Christmas Day of this year.

This kind of step by any production house acts like a confidence-builder for any film and it is also expected to raise expectations among the prospective audience. This Christmas Day Grudge Match will face tough competition at the box-office from movies like Keanu Reeves' 47 Ronin, Julia Roberts and Meryl Streep's August: Osage County, Chris Pine's Jack Ryan, Jason Reitman's Labor Day and Ben Stiller's The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

As enough time is left for December 25 to arrive, chances are there that some of the releases may get postponed or some new release gets added to the day. Apart from Grudge Match, Warner Bros.’ The Seventh Son’s release date has been rescheduled to January 17, 2014 which is a case of delay. Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are set to reunite in Escape Plan and Stallone’s fans will also be breathlessly waiting for The Expendables 3 to be released on August 15, 2014.
