    2 Kannada Actors Die After A Helicopter Stunt Goes Terribly Wrong

    In a tragic turn of events, two Kannada actors have died following a poor execution of a movie stunt went horribly wrong that took place at Tippagondanahalli Lake in Bengaluru.

    Starring Duniya Vijay in the lead role, the film in question is titiled Masti Gudi. The two deceased actors  were performing stunts for the same. In the scene, Duniya Vijay and the two actors (Anil and Uday) jumped into the lake from a helicopter. While the lead actor survived the drop , the other two didn’t surface.

    While a team was sent to recover the two actors, they could not retrieve anything.

    It was later learnt that that a safety harness was provided to the lead actor but no such equipment was provided to the other two. The two actors also  reportedly had communicated that they were not good swimmers before going into the shot. Also, there were no ambulances or speedboats on the standby during the shoot.

    This tragic incident is not the first time that the system has failed the professionals. In 1980, Malayalam superstar Jayan also had died in a helicopter accident  while he was shooting for Kolilakkam. In Bollywood Amitabh Bachchan also endured a serious injury that ruptured his intestines, while filming for Coolie.
