Meghana to star in ‘Bhujanga’ with Prajwal Devaraj

It has been revealed that Meghana Raj has signed up a new movie ‘Bhujanga’, which will also star Prajwal Devaraj. The two actors will work together for the very first time. The Suvarna Film Awards winner will portray the role of a girl who falls in love with a thief in the movie.

"Called Bhujanga, the film is a love story with very interesting twists. The story is set in the Mandya-Mysuru belt and sees me as a typical village belle, who falls in love with a thief”, said the Filmfare Awards South nominee. Meghana, who is currently busy completing the shooting of her Malayalam movie ‘Halleluiah’, will join the unit of ‘Bhujanga’ later this month.

"Initially, my character is not aware that Prajwal is a thief, but she does realize it eventually. In fact, they meet when he tries to steal something from her house”, added the actress. "There might be similarities in the basic plot, but Bhujanga is an original script", said the Punda actress while denying that the story of ‘Bhujanga’ is similar to that of ‘Meesha Madhavan’, which is a Malayalam film.
