Mohanlal Will Be Seen In Different Avatars In Odiyan

The makers of upcoming film Odiyan featuring Mohanlal have released the first look of the movie. The poster showed the star in the young get up. However, that is not the only look in which the actor will be seen in the film.  

Directed by VA Shrikumar, the movie will feature Mohanlal in several looks. "Lal plays a character named Odiyan Manikyan from the age of 30 to 65. He will have a complete makeover. It will also be a physically challenging role for him,” said the director.

He further added, “Manikyan is considered the greatest Odiyan that ever lived. He has mastered the skills that have been passed down by his forefathers of the clan." Apart from Mohanlal, the flick will also feature Manju Warrier and Prakash Raj in important roles. The film is expected to start rolling by mid August in Palakkad.

Shrikumar said, "We did an extensive research for the film, which has both realism and fantasy. It will shatter the perceptions about the Odiyan tribe and what they did. We will be shooting in locations such as Khasak, Kollengode, Alathur, Nemmara and Pollachi, where it is believed that Odiyans lived.” The team is also planning to shoot few portions of the film in Varanasi.
