Bobby Jasoos - To Watch or Not to Watch

Bobby Jasoos is the story of a small town girl who dreams of becoming a hot shot detective someday,making her EVER angry dad, proud of her. On her journey to fame, she gets into the wrong traps, and what follows is an entertaining revelation of events!

1. Girl Power!

Vidya’s character was a breath of fresh air! Bobby is a career centric girl who doesn’t fall prey to love and doesn’t give a care for how she looks or what she wears! (we say this after seeing her dance in sneakers and salwar). A middle class girl, she fights with her parents to fulfill her dreams. She’s 30 and she’s single, but definitely NOT ready to mingle.

2. Hyderabadi Livaaz

If you are fond of Hyderabad (especially its biryani) then you are in for a treat! The way Hyderabad is shot will make you drop your jaw. The beautifully lit mosques, the city streets, the Biryani walas and even the way Bobby talks will make you want to go to Hyderabad like now!

3. Logaan Plot Ka Kya Hua?

Before the interval, Vidya Balan’s acting can probably keep you entertained enough to distract you from noticing that the movie is going nowhere, but post interval you are sure to notice the lack of suspense building. When you reach the climax the first thing that might get to you is that the climax is actually sort of an anti- climax to the thrill expected from a detective story!

4. Too much Emotional Attyachar

There was a point in the movie, when the emotional scenes became an over-kill and the audience was laughing at the baap-beti milan. In an attempt to make this movie a typical Bollywood drama, Bobby Jasoos has been over-done and might make you laugh when it actually wants to hit you in the feels!

5. Final Verdict

The movie will definitely entertain you. If you have time to kill this weekend, do go and watch Bobby Jasoos. Vidya Balan has always impressed us by her performance and she continues to do so in this movie too. On a scale of 0 to 5, we think Bobby Jasoos rates 2.5 to 3!
