Bollywood has been playing with the idea of remakes and sequels for a very long time now. Be it the Dhoom series or the Housefull series or the remake of Don which resulted in a franchise of its own, Bollywood has mastered the art of keeping audiences hooked with the adventures of a particular set of characters. The film is made into a sequel once it performs exceptionally well in the theatres or is it so much loved by the audiences that it attains a cult status and a sequel is just a given.
The actors also attain a new level of popularity with these franchise hits and keep doing these films because they guarantee a successful box office run. Yet, there have been actors, who, for some reason or the other could not continue to keep themselves associated with their franchise but they loved to come back for a cameo. Jimmy Shergill in Lage Raho Munnabhai- The highly acclaimed actor had an important supporting role in Munnabhai MBBS. He did come for a cameo as a different character in Lage Raho Munnabhai and it won him a lot of accolades.
Ali Zafar in Tere Bin Laden: Dead Or Alive- The actor appeared as himself in the sequel to his 2010 sleeper hit Tere Bin Laden and his cameo was loved by the audiences.
Salman Khan in Judwaa 2- The actor will be seen making a cameo appearance in the sequel to his 1997 film and the audiences are already excited about it.
