Attakathi Dinesh: Enacting a blind character is tough

Actor Attakathi Dinesh will appear as a blind guy in his next, Cuckoo. He feels that it has been really difficult for him to play that character in the movie. Dinesh said, “It was the most challenging role of my career. I may have done only a few films so far, but I never worked so hard for any of the roles. Although I attended a workshop for the blind to prepare for the role, I also spent months observing real blind folks closely.”

Attakathi has not only given his time in attending workshops, but has also invested his time in observing unsighted people for hours. He quoted, “I spent many evenings watching blind people at the bus stops and railway stations, studied their mannerism and every smallest detail that I could use to play my character. It took me nearly two weeks to walk like a blind person, so you could imagine the time and effort that has gone into the character.” The film will be out on March 21.
