Kaali Rangasami is all set to release his directing debut, ‘Oru Kuppai Kathai’, which is based on a real life incident. Dinesh, famous for his choreography in movies like ‘Aadukalam’, for which he won the National Film Award for Choreography in 2011, will be making his acting debut in ‘OKK’. Actress Manisha Yadhav will be seen in a non-glam role, and will star opposite Dinesh.

Udhayanidhi Stalin, impressed after watching the movie at a special screening, expressed that he wishes to release it through his home banner, Red Giant Movies. When asked about the movie, Aslam said “I am making this movie for my former assistant Kaali Rangasami, who is very talented. Initially, people were not receptive to the title and were averse to it. When they listened to the crux of the story, they agreed with me that it was a fitting one”.

Dinesh has high hopes for the film. He said, “It has a strong story and is different from the kind of movies we get to see these days. It beautifully talks about garbage collectors and their lives. The director has etched my character in a very different way and audience will be pleased”. Dinesh shared that he didn’t find the multitude of emotional scenes in the movie too tough. He adds that he has been a dancer in films for 25 years, and has learnt from his mentors like Prabhudeva and Raju Sundaram to be expressive during dancing.
