En Rasavin Manasile 2 on cards?

Well, it seems that Kollywood has caught up with the sequel trend. From Vishwaroopam 2 to Jai Hind 2, filmmakers are now interested in making an instalment of almost every blockbuster.  Sequels give us a second helping of the fare we rejoiced so much the first time around. Recently, there are has been talk about a few such sequels and En Rasavin Manasile is one of them.

If reports are to be believed, Dhanush's father Kasthuri Raja is all set to join hands with yesteryear actor Rajkiran for the sequel of his super hit movie En Rasavin Manasile. The filmaker confirmed, "It's true that I have this idea of making a sequel to En Rasavin Manasile, but I am still not sure how today's audience will receive it. Also, Rajkiran and I have discussed this sequel idea, and he was happy about it, too. But we are yet to work on it, and fine tune the story, etc."

The film, produced by Rajkiran, features Rajkiran and Meena in lead roles and was released on 13 April 1991. It also marked the acting debut of Vadivelu. The film had won Tamil Nadu State Film Award for various categories.
