Prashanth To Feature In Tamil Remake Of ‘Special 26’

Actor Prashanth has confirmed the news that he will reprise the role of Akshay Kumar in the Tamil remake of hit Bollywood flick ‘Special 26’. The film witnessed one of the best performances of Akshay Kumar till date. The Neeraj Pandey directorial had a new and unique concept of fake CBI, which managed to impress the audiences.

Thiyagarajan has bagged the southern remake rights of the film and his son will be seen playing the male lead. Prashanth said, "My father acquired the remake rights of the film last year. We plan to start shooting soon. The film will be directed by Madhesh, and we're currently in the process of finalizing the rest of the cast".

Currently, the actor is awaiting the release of Arun Raj Varma directorial ‘Saahasam’. 'Special 26' will also be made in Telugu and Malayalam. According to the reports, Ravi Teja will feature in the Telugu version which will be helmed by Harish Shankar, who will also co-produce it.
