Rajnikanth returns in Tamil remake of Bhaskar the Rascal

Rajnikanth might make a return in the remake of recently released Malayalam flick ‘Bhaskar the Rascal’. Tamil megastar was so impressed by the film’s concept that he asked the director to cast him in the remake. The original version of the film was directed by Siddique who has also directed Salman Khan in Bodyguard which was a commercial hit.

Reportedly, Rajnikanth will reprise Mammootty’s role in the Tamil version. Nayantara, who has played the female lead in the original version, and has requested the director to cast her in the remake as well. The story of the movie revolves around a rude business tycoon (Bhaskar Pillai), who lost his wife, cares about nothing but his work. However, everything changes when he goes on a trip with his son and comes across a small business owner (Hima) who is totally opposite to him.

If everything falls into place, Enthiran star could be seen in this lovely family drama soon. The megastar has already signed a film with Madras director Ranjith and could be seen working with Kanchana 2 director Raghava Lawrence too. Rajnikanth’s film with Shankar has been shifted to next year.
