    Ravi Appulu Makes His Directorial Comeback After 16 Years

    Director Ravi Appulu is making a comeback to Kollywood after a long hiatus of 16 years. Ravi’s last directorial is Vijay and Richa Pallod starrer Shahjahan which released in 2001. He is all set to wield the megaphone for the upcoming movie Seyal which is set in North Chennai and will star Rajan Tejeshwar and Tharushi in the lead roles.



    Talking about his flick, Ravi said, “It is a story about a North Chennai dada, who controls the entire Thanga Salai market. At a certain occasion, when the hero, who comes to this area, attacks the dada in front of the entire crowd and puts the latter to shame. The dada is out to take revenge on the boy.”



    Though the film will be high in action, but will also have humour and romance. “The romantic portions have come out very well as every time the heroine wants to confess her love, something unexpected happens and she will be put off,” Ravi added. Aadukalam Jayabalan will be essaying the role of a dada, while Munishkanth will be seen in an important role.
