Ritika Singh: Understanding Language Helps Me Express Better
Actress Ritika Singh, who made her debut with ‘Irudhi Suttru’ is going to play the lead female actress in her upcoming film ‘Vanangamudi’. The actress’ played a rural fisherwoman in her debut which enthralled the audience with her performance. The film also features Arvind Swamy, Chandini Tamilarasan and Nandita Swetha in the lead roles.
Speaking about her character in the flick, the actress said, “I will be seen as a lively and independent girl in the film, but there’s more to her than what meets the eye. The role brings out several shades in me as the plot unfolds. It’s the script and the character that excites and pushes me to explore new terrains.” She said that she would love to dub her lines to make her role look more genuine.
Further, having acted in a slew of films in Tamil, the actress said that she is now fluent in Tamil. She said that she is comfortable speaking in Tamil as she constantly listens to her staff and people at her work. Moreover, the 22-year-old proclaimed that understanding the language helps her to express better. The film is directed by Selva and is set to hit theatres at the end of 2017.
