Surya lodged a complaint against his fake Facebook account

Suriya's fans were more than excited when they found Suriya's Facebook account, but soon, reports circulated that it’s not him but one of his crazy fan who created the page in his name on a social networking site. The actor's spokesperson has sent out a press statement denying that it is an official account of superstar Surya.

The recently released press release read, "A few hours ago, the news about Surya joining Facebook created a huge sensation and many followers across the globe joined and with that came lots of likes and shares. It is now being officially declared that it is a FAKE PAGE created by some unknown groups."

It further added, "Reacting to this, the authorized fans club of Surya lodged a complaint about this fake page to the cyber-crime department. It is an affirmation that actor Surya is neither on Facebook nor Twitter. If and when he plans to join social media in future, authentic details and news would be officially made available to all."

Meanwhile, the fans and followers who were delighted to see that the actor has taken plunge in the social media world are disappointed that they would not be able communicate with their favourite actor.
