Varalaxmi Set to Play Action-Packed Role in Female-Centric Movie

Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is all set to play an action-packed role in a female-centric movie. The film will be Priyadaarshini’s debut as a director. The movie is reportedly of a unique genre, packed with elements of action, mystery, travel and thriller.

Talking about the multi-genre movie, Priyadaarshini said, “Varalaxmi plays the protagonist, and she is involved in a cat-and-mouse game with the antagonist. Her character will be an action-oriented one, on the lines of the protagonists in Kill Bill and Lucy, and she will not be having any romantic interest. We are in talks with a leading hero to play the role of the antagonist." The film will be set in Chennai and Pune. However, the highlight of the movie is that it will address contemporary issues faced by women. While Priyadaarshini managed to rope in Balaji Ranga as cinematographer, talks are still on with Sam CS of Vikram Vedha fame to compose the music for the film.
