    Superstar Mahesh Babu has emulated the reel life into real life by adopting his paternal village Burripalem. The Tollywood actor made the announcement through his Twitter account, where he thanked his brother-in-law Jayadev Galla and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Mahesh Babu appreciated the ‘Smart Village’ project launched by the CM and said that it inspired him to do his part in the development of villages.

    The star went on to thank Telangana Panchayat Raj and IT minister KTR for giving him a call and appreciating his latest blockbuster Srimanthudu. The minister suggested him to adopt a village under the ‘Gramjyothi’ program and to choose a village from the backward district of Mahabubnagar. The 40-year-old actor also revealed that the idea of adopting a village was first given by Jayadev Galla during the shooting of Srimanthudu.

    The actor did not made an announcement at that time as he feared being perceived as a promotional strategy. Thus, Mahesh Babu waited for the movie to get released and now, he has shared his generous plan. It will take 2-3 months for the actor to officially adopt Burripalem village. Also, further announcements in this regard will be made soon. Galla during the shooting of Srimanthudu.
