Taapsee Pannu To Play Female Lead In Mahi V Raghav’s Horror Comedy

Model-actress Taapsee Pannu ventured into acting with K. Raghavendra Rao’s Tollywood film ‘Jhummandi Naadam’ in 2010 and since then, there is no looking back for the actress. Now, the actress is all set to be seen in a Telugu-Hindi bilingual Submarine-based naval warfare film titled ‘The Ghazi Attack’, also starring Rana Daggubati in the lead role. The latest we hear about the actress is that she has signed a Telugu film after quite a long time.

Touted to be a horror-comedy, the film will be directed by Paathshala director Mahi V Raghav. Talking about the flick, a source was quoted as saying, “The film is going to have four prime characters alongside Taapsee. Srinivas Reddy, Jayaprakash Reddy, Shakalaka Shankar and Vennela Kishore are playing the roles. The film goes on floors from January 2017. Taapsee will play the title character”.

After ‘Sahasam’ (2013), an action-adventure helmed by Chandra Sekhar Yeleti, Taapsee hasn’t appeared in a full-fledged role in any Telugu film. She was only seen in a special appearance in Vamsi Krishna’s ‘Dongaata’. Now that the actress is back in Tollywood, we expect some great treats from Taapsee for the Telugu audience.
